Travis Scott is continuing to fire on all cylinders in the latter half of 2020, linking up with Atlanta megastar Future for the remix of his number one tune ‘Franchise’. Already featuring the likes of M.I.A. and Young Thug, La Flame has truly cultivated a hip hop supergroup for the track, and it totally pays off.
Starting with that body-thumping beat we’re all too familiar with, Future wastes no time jumping on, rapping with a frenzied flow that perfectly matches the hard AF nature of the tune. He really finds his pocket on the track, rapping as if he crafted the beat himself. But this is Future we’re talking about, the king of murdering any beat he jumps on, so of course he’s gonna make short work of a song like this.
The remix comes just days after Travis performed the track on Jimmy Kimmel live with Young Thug and M.I.A. Of course, the visuals and concept for the performance were super trippy, alternating between rapping in the back of an open roof truck and a huge white sheeted room. It’s definitely one of the more inventive late night show performances we’ve seen in recent months, making it feel more like a properly immersive experience as opposed to an artist just performing from a studio.
Regardless, the remix is super dope, and Future manages to elevate an already lit song into an even harder banger. Check it out below.
