Did you know that Anderson .Paak used to sling kicks at a Vans store in California before he was delivering funkified hip hop to millions of salivating fans across the globe? True story. So naturally, if you were going to pick a Vans ambassador, you probably couldn’t get much better than the three-time Grammy award-winner right? Of course, it helps that the man has impeccable taste (and a penchant for rad bucket hats).
“I’m honored to be the newest member of the Vans Family and look forward to making history with one of the most respected global brands,” Anderson .Paak says of the collab. “I’m thankful for Vans’ partnership with .Paak House and can’t wait to broaden our reach to help even more people tap into their greatest potential.” This is just weeks following the announcement that .Paak will be a judge of Vans’ global Musicians Wanted band comp – deets here.
The Vans X AP collection, which will be available at Vans retail locations, online at Vans.com and select retailers November 13th, sees the Sid DX and Old Skool DX reimagined with the art from .Paak’s albums Malibu and Venice. Honing in on the musician’s signature style, it comes with an AP Bucket Hat in each design pattern too (check ‘em in the pics below).
Paak. has also been busy working on new music, with his new track ‘JEWELZ’ delivering that big AP energy that will have you boogieing into the weekend. Check it below and head to Vans.com for more
