It’s definitely been a minute since we saw Bruce Willis tear shit up as John McClane, the certified action star last donning the role in 2013”s A Good Day to Die Hard. Now, it seems Willis has been missing the character just a bit, and has revived him in the most niche and interesting way.
Okay, so it might not be the two hour blockbuster we were hoping for, but this is still pretty sick, Willis teaming up with the DieHard battery brand (first established in 1967) for an ad celebrating their new car batteries Specifically, the clip sees Willis’ car break down hard, forcing him to go to d Auto Parts (owners of DieHard). After that, it’s aggressively Die Hard, featuring shootouts, explosions, car chases and so much more (no doubt this commercial would’ve costed an arm and a leg).
Luckily, Willis isn’t the only Die Hard alum to return, with the baddie of the commercial played by none other than Clarence Gilyard (who played Theo in the first film). But that’s only until he’s run over by McClane’s limo driver, who also returns.
It’s a pretty sick ad and definitely will set the DieHard brand apart from its competitors. Check it below.
