Joe Biden’s election win is definitely lighting up the U.S., his prevailing over Donald Trump sparking mad celebrations the likes of which America hasn’t seen in years. And naturally, such celebrations need a bit of music, and what better song to bump in these historic times than the YG and Nipsey Hustle anthem ‘FDT’?
The hip hop smash (which stands for “Fuck Donald Trump”), jumped back up to No. 1 on iTunes mere hours after Biden’s election win.
The song was released way back in 2016 when Trump was causing all sorts of mayhem on the campaign trail. It was literally impossible to escape the tune back then, every club or festival bumping it non-stop in defiance of the presidential hopeful. Now, streams and sales have skyrocketed by over 300% on Election Day this year, while surpassing more than one million streams on the day the poll closed.
