Andy Golledge – ‘Ghost of Love’

Inner-West alt-country crooner Andy Golledge just dropped his first new music since his debut EP Namoi and it’s a bloody ripper of a tune. ‘Ghost of Love’ sees him document his journey from his quiet rural hometown of Tamworth through to the city and the hurdles – self-doubt and lethargy – he’s overcome along the way. As per usual, his smooth vocal delivery and staunch melodic sensibility roam free on a bed of acoustic rhythm guitar, twangy lead and a steady beat.

Haiku Hands – ‘Suck My Cherry’

As of today, dance-pop trio Haiku Hands can add writing the official theme song to a Hollywood film to their CV, with their latest tune ‘Suck My Cherry’ syncing with new horror-comedy Freaky, starring Kathryn Newton and Vince Vaughn. The track sounds like ‘Hollerback Girl’ on speed, with Haiku Hands incorporating that big cheerleader energy perfectly. Get amongst it:

Ben Gillies – ‘One Foot in Front of The Other’

Following on from his meditative psych-pop debut tune ‘Breathe In, Breathe Out’, former Silverchair drummer/songwriter Ben Gillies has returned with delightfully noirish new tune ‘One Foot in Front of The Other’. Incorporating some haunting piano lines, a healthy amount of saxophone and a very addictive vocal hook, Gillies takes us on an intoxicatingly dark trip that nails those 80s vibes.

Hot Donnas – ‘No Money’

Our cuzs from across the Pacific, New Zealand indie-rock four-piece Hot Donnas have unleashed a brand new EP Adventures of E-Wan. It’s chock full of wailing vocals, thumping rhythms and guitar-heavy jams – one that we can only imagine will be hitting hard on stages around NZ.

Sycco – ‘Embrace’

Bringing an R&B flavour to PNAU’s ethereal banger, Brisbane’s Sycco continues to take steps in securing her next-big-thing title. She also roped in fellow Brisbanians (Brisbanites? Brisbaners?) Clea, Asha Jefferies, and Hallie as well as half of local band First Beige; Oscar Borschmann, James Halstead, and Jasper Gundersen to bring the track to life. Dig in:
