Shannon Noll is without a doubt a legend in the sphere of Aussie music. Ever since his coming in at number two on the first season of Australian Idol, he’s achieved something of a cult-like status, existing as both an absolute meme and icon at the same time. Now however, he’s giving back in what’s an absolutely hilarious move, giving one Aussie couple the wedding present of twenty lifetimes.
Teaming up with Simon Curwood Jewellers, old mate Nollsie has agreed to give the full VIP experience to a lucky bridge and groom, offering his many talents as the musical guest at the couple’s proceedings. There’s a catch however, as the couple has to buy their rings from Simon Curwood to go in the running for the price. After that however, it’s all smooth sailing.
“Entry is open to Australian residents that have purchased two wedding bands from Simon Curwood Jewellers,” the jeweller wrote on their website. “It’s OK if you haven’t purchased your wedding bands yet, you can still enter now and our team will help you custom make your perfect set prior to the cut-off on March 31.”
Pretty bloody amazing, imagine dancing your ass off to Nollsie’s rendition of ‘What About Me,’ or getting in your feelings to his Aussie Idol cover of ‘Hold Me In Your Arms’ as you start the first day of the rest of your life. And no doubt he’d probably get in on the action too, bringing that signature life of the party energy that’s made him such a legend of the nation.
The competition closes at the end of March, and you can sign up here to have the man himself as your musical guest. You better hurry up though, as the Facebook post for the competition already has over 10,000 comments, so no doubt people are absolutely eating this up. For now, immerse yourself in his musical blessings with his cover of ‘Hold My In Your Arms’ below.
