Commitment to the part…

The Super Bowl is definitely a super special event for America. It’s a clashing of titans, a facing off of fan bases as Americans celebrate their love for the NFL and competition. No doubt this year’s iteration of the event was very different however, with COVID-19 throwing a socially-distanced wrench into the works as a large amount of seats were forced to remain empty for 2021.

But if you tuned in yesterday, odds are the stadium didn’t look at all different from previous years, with seats all seemingly filled in what was a fleeting recapturing of the past. Well, brace yourselves for a revelation beauties, as the majority of those attendees were none other than cardboard cutouts!

From Eminem to Billie Eilish, Bernie Sanders, DJ Khaled, YG, DaBaby and numerous more, tonnes of cutouts of celebs were spotted at the game, with each cutout costing $100 USD ($129 AUD).

NFL executive vice president Peter O’Reilly gave a bit of inside info as to the cutouts, stating that 65,000 seats had about twenty five thousand people in here, but revealing that there was a whopping 30,000 fan cutouts, all honouring high profile celebs as well as veterans and military personnel, health care workers, cancer survivors and youth and high school football players. The Vice President also revealed that a potion of proceeds made from the cutouts went to Feeding Tampa Bay.

Pretty bloody genius. Check out some more high profile cardboard attendees below.
