Still whacky AF though…

Lil Uzi definitely set the world on fire after debuting his $24 million USD (around $31 million AUD) facial piercing last week, it’s rather prominent forehead placement making for quite a shocked response from his fans, especially when he claimed that he could die if he removed the diamond. Now, the New York-based jeweller who hooked old mate up with the bling has given the deets on the jewellery, and he’s shot down Uzi’s exaggerations about the possible consequences of taking it out.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, Eliantte & Co., the jeweller in question, said “It’s as safe as any other piercing, As long as you maintain it well and have good upkeep, it’s perfectly fine. We made sure that prior to getting anything done that Uzi brought someone in to consult on everything. We didn’t just do this randomly.”

They also gave the deets on how they got the piercing to stay in place, revealing “We engineered a specific mounting that clips and locks in place. There’s a whole mechanism involved, it’s not a standard piercing. A specific piece and part were both engineered with millimeter precision to get this put on him.”

The whole story definitely calls back to Adam Sandler in Uncut Gems, but Uzi doesn’t seem to have the same magical expectations as Kevin Garnett from the film, rather using it to drum up buzz and freak people TF out. It’s definitely working. Let it freak you out again below.
