Been waiting a long time for this…

Gamers and action fans alike have been waiting for the new Mortal Kombat movie for yonks now, the reboot’s development slowed down by COVID-19 and going through all sorts of trouble in an effort to get made. Now however, we’ve gotten an update on the film, as well as a new look into a prominent character.

Revealing on the movie’s Twitter account, the makers of the film have revealed that the trailer for the new film is set to drop sometime today (February 18). The trailer will be the first extended look at the reboot, with the past teaser a mere 2 minutes (definitely not enough time to dig our teeth in).

The post also comes with a new look at the character of Joe Taslim, and his new Sub-Zero costume. It’s safe to say he looks equal parts terrifying and badass, and no doubt will be kicking the absolute shit out of anyone who tries to mess with him in the film.

The new film is set to drop in theatres and on HBO Max on April 16, 2021. For now, check out the new teaser of Joe Maslim below and keep your eyes peeled for an additional new trailer set to drop sometime today.
