The two fighters definitely love their money…
Conor McGregor, ever the shit-talker and master-troll, has shown us he still has mad jokes after his loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 258, a loss which removed any momentum he had at becoming UFC’s golden boy once more. But his shit-talking is second to none; his disses being so hilarious and calculated that it’s impossible not to lose your shit to them (even if you hate him) and his latest dig at Floyd Mayweather is prime Conor.
Sending a birthday message to the 50 – 0 boxer, McGregor definitely hit him where it hurts, posting a picture of them facing off on Instagram with the caption “Happy birthday Floyd! We miss you on the Forbes.”
A loaded diss, basically because Floyd is retired he no longer ranks on Forbes’ highest paid athletes list, a list Conor ranked 16th on last year with earnings of $48 million USD ($60 million AUD). I mean Floyd’s nickname is ‘Money’ too, so no doubt that’s gotta sting.
But then again, Floyd is balling in ever sense of the word, recently buying his five-week old grandson a diamond encrusted Rolex. Valued in the ballpark of the hundreds of thousands, the piece appears to be a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust. Floyd’s mother Yaya (who recently welcomed the babyFloyd with rapper boyfriend NBA Youngboy) posted a pic of the watch to Instagram, along with the caption “KJ’s papa got him his first Rolex”. So regardless, Floyd’s straight up flooded with cash, and no Conor diss is gonna take that away from him.
Of course, it all seems like this is part of Conor’s masters plan to entice Mayweather into a rematch from their 2017 boxing match, one which Floyd dominated. Whether or not Floyd will face Conor one more time though remains to be seen, especially after Conor’s loss to Poirier earlier this year. For now, check out his diss to Mayweather below.
