The worst timing…

Philadelphia’s weapon of a duo Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid have been victim to being at the wrong place at the wrong time, being sidelined from this year’s NBA All-Star game after their barber tested positive for COVID-19. Thus, the two hot shots have been forced into self-isolation to see if they at all contracted the virus after coming into contact with the barber.

“Additional test has returned positive for the coronavirus on barber in contact with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons,” Adrian Wojnarowski said in a tweet. “League must make decision still, but it is highly unlikely Embiid and Simmons will be cleared to play today.”

However, others saw this as a blessing for disguise, particular for young players like Zion Williamson (who will replace Embiid in the starting lineup), or even Trae Young, who many fans feel was snubbed by not getting a shot at the game.

Regardless, it’s a bit of a bummer for Simmons and Embiid. Check out some of the saddest and most hilarious reactions to the news below.
