The ever expanding world of crypto…
New York rapper Azealia Banks is again making waves in the press for her out-there tactics. However, we’re gonna be real, it’s nowhere near as bad as her most recent headlines (still can’t get over that dead cat ridiculousness). Rather, she’s getting into non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and her debut into the world of crypto is insane to say the least.
Now, in a move that places her in a small group, the ‘212’ star has released a sex tape with her fiancé Ryder Ripps, titled ‘AZEALIA BANKS – I FUCKED RYDER RIPPS’ as an NFT. However, it’s got a slight twist to it, as it’s audio only. You’d think even the biggest of fans (or weirdos) wouldn’t cop it at all, but of course, the internet is a strange place, with the 24-minute recording apparently selling for well over $17,000 USD ($21,000 AUD). Or, in crypto language, 10 Ethereum.
As a result, the buyer Rulton Fyder, now has full ownership, distribution and display rights, and a signed LP vinyl record of the NFT (imagine having a signed sex tape).

It seems the world of crypto and NFTs is continuing to grow, with Banks not even being the first artist to release a sex tape on the service (with Banks beating her out there). And with artists like Grimes making shitloads more money releasing music over the service as opposed to conventional-methods, it’s looking like the future is crypto, and we best get in the know now.
