Oakley cement their connection with the pinnacle of surfing.

Having already established itself as the surfer’s choice when it comes to sunglasses and eye protection, Oakley have today strengthened their ties with the sport, announcing a new partnership with WSL. On top of their connections with Italo Ferreira, Julian Wilson, Jordy Smith, Griffin Colapinto, Macy Callaghan, and Sage Erickson (all of which are on Team Oakley), they will now be the official eyewear sponsor of the 2021 Championship Tour.

The deal will see Oakley dress the WSL broadcast team and staff at all events providing them with sunglasses and personal protective equipment, including Clear Collection eyewear and masks, which we can imagine will be pretty much the raddest PPE you’ll ever see. With the next stop of the tour being Newcastle, Aussies will be getting the first glimpses of the partnership when the world’s best surfers touch down in April.

“Surfing has always been an integral part of our brand’s DNA,” said Caio Amato, Oakley Global Brand Director. “Teaming up with The World Surf League is an honor for us, particularly with so many members of Team Oakley in the world championship. This is an incredible opportunity to give back to the surf community and partner with them to shape the future of Surf. We look forward to working together with the WSL in the coming months to make the 2021 Championship Tour an astounding success.”
