We’d be more surprised if he didn’t pee into a bottle before meeting the Top Gun star…
Seth Rogen is on the promo circuit for his new Yearbook memoir, and naturally all the most cooked stories are coming out. The most ridiculous so far includes a bottle of piss and Tom Cruise, and luckily for us, Seth Rogen told the yarn in full on Howard Stern.
The topic came up after Stern asked Rogan about his “bizarre” meeting with the Mission: Impossible franchise. Diving into the story, Rogen explained out the meeting took place during Cruise’s relationship with Katie Holmes and the tabloid madness that accompanied it. In a hilarious and super random addition to the story, Judd Apatow (director of King of Staten Island) was also in attendance. He doesn’t really add anything to the story, but it’s just funny imagining him in the room.
“I stopped halfway up the driveway, [which was] kind of in the woods above Sunset Boulevard, and I peed in a Snapple bottle in my car,” Rogen full launched into. He also admitted he was too nervous to ask Cruise to use his restroom, instead having “sealed the bottle and left it there, and went on to have a very absurd meeting with Tom Cruise.”
The meeting went exactly as you’d expect, with Cruise going off about everything from pharmaceuticals to scientology and so much more. Rogen admit he was even worried about being converted at one stage, which again, is just a hilarious image to envision.
“And it’s like with Scientology, he said, ‘If you let me just tell you what it was really about, if you let me, just give me 20 minutes to really just tell you what it was about, you would say no fucking way, no fucking way,’” Rogen reflected. “Is that a good thing to be saying? Is that a bad thing to be saying?”
Pretty weird, but it gets even weirder (linking it back to the pissing in the bottle). As Rogen later learned after the meeting that his piss-capade was caught on tape, explaining that “I was passing the exact spot that I peed in. I noticed a red light in the woods and looked up and there was a security camera literally pointed at the same spot.”
