Classic tune…

Northern Beaches brothers Lime Cordiale and Woorabinda R&B sensation Miiesha have joined forces for an intimate rendition of ‘Dancing In The Moonlight,’ and it’ll put a spring in your step for your Monday mornings.

Taking to triple j’s live music series The Set, the two acts brought the personal vibes from the jump, with quirky objects placed at their feet including an 80s style tv, a pineapple, some daisies and even a lava lamp (AKA the coolest gift to give anyone ever). The studio audience also helped add to the cosy mood, bopping and swaying to the various guitars and harmonies.

Speaking of which, Lime and Miiesha go together wonderfully on the track, with singer Louis and Miiesha taking turns smashing out their respective verses before joining forces for that uplifting hook, harmonising atop the whimsical keys and guitars below them. The end of the cover sees them go full acapella, singing that iconic hook as the crowd claps along in time, before bringing back the full band for a wholesome crescendo.

Definitely a cover that’ll please fans of both the original 1973 King Harvest version and the Toploader rendition from 2000. Check it below.
