The deal, which can extend to 10 years, could be worth up to $100 million including incentives and options. It’s believed to be the largest shoe deal since Derrick Rose signed a 13-year deal in 2012 that could be worth more than $185 million. LeBron James and Kevin Durant, both of whom are with Nike, are the highest-earning active players when it comes to shoe endorsements.

With big contracts generally comes signature shoes and thats what has now become official as the sneaker’s official unveiling is set to take place on January 13 with a February 6 retail release date to follow. By getting a closer look at the sneaker earlier today, we found out that the sneaker features a neoprene sock liner, flexible tech fit upper and perforated ventilation throughout. As of right now, it’s not known how much the D Lillard 1 will retail cost you. Lillard has gone on record saying that he wants to be the sneaker to be more affordable than other signature basketball shoes, citing his Oakland, California upbringing as a reason. Without the inclusion of adidas’ Boost technology, Lillard may get his wish, as the shoe be cheaper than the D Rose 5 ‘s $140 price tag.
