The rapper gets Jerry Springer-ered in new promotional bit.

Continuing with the hilarious promotional stunts that underscored his latest album rollout, Lil Nas X brought the drama in a recent appearance on Maury. Hijacking the staple storylines of any American reality talk show, the rapper launched an extended bit in which he joked about being a love-triangle mistress, proposed to his real-life ex boyfriend and underwent a lie detector test. 

In a Jerry Springer moment, host Maury Povich proclaimed to a gasping audience that “in the case of 4-year-old Noah … you are NOT the father!” Unsurprisingly for the master marketer, the story was lifted from Nas’ music video for his latest single, ‘That’s What I Want,’ with fans later told that the show’s events were for entertainment purposes only.

The Maury appearance comes in a long line of publicity stunts surrounding Nas’ September release of his debut album, Montero. Elsewhere, the rapper was sued by Nike after releasing a similar silhouette filled with human blood, and later donned a fake pregnant belly before ‘birthing’ his new album.
