Teaming up with longtime Vans family member and co-owner of skate and streetwear company Fucking Awesome World Entertainment, Anthony Van Engelen, Vans have today shared the first look at their ready-to-roll new kick, the Fucking Awesome UltimateWaffle EXP. Furthering their undying commitment to the progression, the shoe was born for one purpose: to be worn while skateboarding.
Incorporating a process called SturdyStitch, a type of stitching that is normally reserved for embroidery, the UltimateWaffle EXP is both breathable and durable. And it comes with loads of additional trimmings such as protective toe cap and heelcounter to protect those high-impact areas which often are the first spots where our shoes begin to let us down.
Available in the hero FA white/black colourway, the shoe features a custom-molded Vans x FA tongue label, as well as AVE’s namesake on the heelcounter and Vans x FA signature detailing on the heelscab and insole. It’s also delivered in custom translucent packaging with FA’s signature “Hurt Your Eyes” print that keeps with AVE and fellow FA owner Jason Dill’s boundary-pushing approach to skating and business.
The Vans x FA UltimateWaffle EXP will be available in December this year, at Vans Skateboarding retailers and at Vans.com/Skateboarding. For more information, and where to purchase, hit The Drop List, a calendar of Vans’ most exclusive product drops.
