Having hosted PLANET frontman Matty Took on our On Hold segment earlier this year, we already knew of the band’s affiliation for stripped-backed performances. But with the release of a live rendition of their latest single today, the Sydney quartet showed that the proof is in the pudding.
Descending on the rooftop of the Lansdowne Hotel in the inner-west, the band enlisted fellow Aussie duo CLEWS for an acoustic version of PLANET’s latest single, ‘Ship Won’t Change.’ The performance, which builds upon the already-guitar-heavy original with the help of CLEWS’ backing harmonies, marks just one of the band’s musical offerings in the lead-up to their 2022 debut project, Information Overload.

Early next year, PLANET will take ‘Ship Won’t Change’ and additional 2021 singles ‘Need More’ and ‘Resign’ on the road, touring the east coast with a string of shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane before supporting The Wiggles at Qudos Bank Arena in April. Fans can also expect a bunch of new releases and performances when PLANET’s full album drops on March 11.
