Party & Bullshit
Words by Amar Gera February 19, 2022

It was all hands on deck at the Hordern Pavilion last night, the return of standing gigs as we used to know them back in full swing for the first time in two years…

And as if timed to perfection, the scrapping of restrictions also coincided with night one of Ocean Alley’s three night run of the Sydney venue. Of course, excitement was high and the euphoria was beyond tangible, punters elated at the last minute change to restrictions allowing them to sing, dance and mosh to their heart’s content. It’s safe to say the six-piece could clearly feel it from up on the stage, the Byron-based psychedelic rock outfit bringing the hype as they churned out hits from their eclectic discography, cuts like ‘Touch Back Down’, ‘Knees’ and a personal favourite, their Like A Version of ‘Baby Come Back’ met with thunderous screams and applause. It was definitely a welcome return not only for the Hot 100 alum, but for that of the Hordern itself. But as always, don’t just take our word for it, get caught up via the gallery below.
