With flash flooding wreaking havoc across Queensland and the Northern Rivers right now, Newy legend Boo Seeka has announced a special charity show to give back. Titled ‘Flood Raiser’, the event will see the biggest artists and creatives on the Gold Coast join forces to support those who have been impacted by the recent floods, with 100% of proceeds going to GIVIT, the SES and Wildcare Australia.
Hosted by podcast duo Lucy & Nikki and featuring local musos Choomba, Little Fritter, Wongo and more, the fundraiser will see some of the biggest acts in the Queensland dance scene take to the Miami Marketta next Tuesday. Local photographers Freyee, Studio Flamingo and more will be in attendance as well, all of whom will be putting their various prints on sale to add to donations. To top things off, all production costs and venue hire fees are being completely waived for the show, along with booking fees for tickets.
It’s definitely a worthy cause and will no doubt be a massive help to those who have been hit hard by the floods. Be sure to cop tickets here and check out the full deets for the Flood Raiser below.
