Alison Wonderland is back with a new single this Thursday arvo, unleashing her latest trap heater ‘New Day’ along with some fiery visuals.
The new single sees the veteran producer take full control of its musical trajectory, the multi-instrumentalist and singer on verse and chorus duties as she sings lines like “It’s a new day” with an anthemic aura. The sonics that surround her compliment the powerful nature of the verses and hook through piercing modalities and glitchy ornamentation, most notably on that mind-melding drop.
The visuals for the clip see Alison on horesback in the Wild West, engaging in Mexican standoffs and laser-beam battles (you know, just regular producer things). The video as a whole however gives us massive Quentin Tarantino vibes, the various sequences alive with chaos and surrealism throughout the three minute runtime.

Along with the new tune, the homegrown producer has also announced her new album Loner, which is set to land on May 6th. Opening up on how reaching rock bottom inspired the new project, the ‘Bad Things’ singer explains, “I realized that I have always seen myself as the victim of my story. This time, something shifted in me, and I decided that I didn’t want to be the victim anymore.
“Instead, whatever I wrote from here would empower me, and help me find strength in this loneliness.”
Just going off ‘New Day’, it seems she’s more than living up to that mantra. Be sure to buy/stream it here and pre-order Loner here.
