Video game publisher Activision has announced overnight that rapper and avid Twitch-er Snoop Dogg will join its ‘Call of Duty’ series as a playable character. The ‘Gin And Juice’ singer, who just last year hosted a Super Bowl Xbox tournament, will feature in three of the franchise’s current titles: Call Of Duty: Mobile, Call Of Duty: Vanguard, and Call Of Duty: Warzone.
Snoop Dogg will be accessible for players from April 19, and includes a full Operator progression pack and alternate outfits for the gamified rapper. Just as he did in previous COD release Ghost, Snoopy will be voicing himself, promising some extra-smooth narration as players enter the battlefield.
In a press release that can only be read in the rapper’s signature cadence, Snoop Dogg referred to himself in the third person (obviously) before expressing his excitement. “The D O Double G is back in Call of Duty and this time I’m in the freakin’ game,” he said. “Excited to be working with the COD team to bring some fly features for you all to enjoy!”Scroll down for more stills of Snoop Dogg’s new inclusion in the Call Of Duty franchise.
