Championing local art, Burleigh Brewing hosted a celebratory exhibition over the weekend, spotlighting some 14 artists and showcasing the best talent that Burleigh has to offer. The initiative, which took place on Saturday at the Burleigh Brewing Taphouse, welcomed both critics and general art-lovers, who awarded standout pieces from the likes of Matt Nyhuis (People’s Choice Award Winner) and Ellamay Fitzgerald (Judge’s Choice Award Winner).
Both recipients won a Golden Growler trophy (which was later used as a schooner), as well as $2,500 to put towards future art projects. Local comedian Duty Rich emceed the event, alongside acoustic and DJ sets from Hihaze and Adam Sillars. Expectedly, attendees were treated to the full selection of Burleigh Brewing’s finest bevvies.
