In what will be the biggest news in fashion today, iconic fashion house Calvin Klein have linked up with streetwear royalty Palace for a collection titled CK1 Palace. You may have noticed recently that CK’s Instagram and Facebook pages had adopted the Palace tri-ferg logo as their profile pic, leading to much speculation that the collab was coming, and now it’s arrived for our wearing/viewing pleasure.
Celebrating the classic CK minimalism over underwear, denim, tees and fleece, the range features overlapping lettering that nicely marks the collision of the two brands, and also includes a basketball singlet which is undoubtedly a Palace touch. To complement the range, CK have also included the Calvans in collaboration with Vans as well as first-ever remix of the classic CK One fragrance:
“I feel so lucky to launch our first ever fragrance with Calvin Klein. CK ONE disrupted the Status Quo and to be able to make a new version of it in a Palace way has been a dream,” Palace founder Lev Tanju says. “I grew up admiring the iconic Calvin Klein campaigns of the early ’90s for their simplicity and their forward-thinking depiction of fashion that appealed to everyone. It was so visually impactful: the casting, the energy, it really remains unmatched. From the first call with the Calvin team, I knew there was so much we could do. This collaboration has grown organically and I’m proud of everything we’ve created together.”
The star-studded campaign features Palace team skaters such as Lucien Clarke and Charlie Birch, Hollywood legends Willem Dafoe and Dame Joan Collins, plus The Pet Shop Boys, Adwoa Aboah, Lola Leon, Precious Lee and Unknown T. Check it out below and set a reminder for when it goes live on April 8 via Palace’s web store as well as its in-store locations in London, New York and L.A., as well as via the Calvin Klein site.
