Two stacked lineups for Newcastle and the Beaches alike…

Got plans next Friday? Well, even if you do, clear your calendar, as it’s time to do your civic duty and support some local musos for Aus Music T-Shirt day. Set to go down at the Freshwater’s Harbord Hotel Merewether’s Beach Hotel, the day is set to see some of the finest homegrown talent take to the stage for a generous serving of live music.

If you’re on the Northern Beaches, you’re in luck, as Melbourne singer-songwriter Josh Cashman play alongside local legend Taj Ralph and Big Wheels. Bursting onto the scene in 2020 with his unique brand of indie-rock and soul, the beloved muso has grown a dedicated fan base since, many of whom (if not all will be in attendance next Friday). Similarly, our fellow Novocastrians are just as spoiled for choice, with breakout star of 2022 Hollie Col backed by fellow indie artists Berlyn and Lachlan Edwards.

And in accordance with Ausmusic T-shirt Day tradition, everyone is encouraged (although it’s pretty much mandatory) to wear their favourite piece of Aussie music merch. We’re talking everything from Skegss to Ocean Alley to Flume and countless more. It’s no doubt set to be a ripper of day, and considering that tickets to both events are $10 each (with all proceeds going to Support Act + a Free Young Henrys if you arrive before 7pm with each ticket) and you really couldn’t ask for more. Check out the deets for both events below and be sure to cop tickets for the the Harbord Hotel here and Beach Hotel Merewether here. We’ll see you there!
