First up in the series is none other than Bondi pub-rockers The Beefs who are showing us the places in Bondi that fuel their explosive creative output. Fronted by Sammy Smith, the group has built a reputation around the country for their raucous live shows and tongue-in-cheek lyricism, with tracks like ‘Red Bellied Black Snake’ and ‘Punchin’ racking up hundreds of thousands of streams.
Vocal powerhouse Lucy Washington AKA Lucy Lucy and multi-instrumentalist Mitch Tolnay join Smith on stage, and they were also on board to play tour guide when we hit Bondi with them recently. As you can see in the video below, the band are also big fans of White Claw Surge – the new 6.5% alc/vol range that comes in delicious Blood Orange and Blackberry flavours.
We followed the trio to their tucked-away rehearsal space, the cafe where they converge every morning and their favourite beachside spots that have no shortage of frosty White Claw buckets. Plus we head to Porch Ceramics where frontman Sammy recently hosted White Claw team Ned Kelly, Tegan Philipa and Boo Seeka when the trio called in during the Sydney leg of their White Claw summer road trip – stay tuned for more road tripping on White Claw and LWA’s Instagram over the coming months.
