BRB booking a trip to Melbourne…

The Australian Open are coming in hot this Thursday arvo, announcing the full music program for their annual Grand Slam. Kicking off on January 27th, the finals will coincide with the sixth edition of the tournament, with the festival taking place over the last three days. It’s a huge day for Aussie sport, and naturally, a bunch of homegrown (adopted) Aussies have been tapped to see the program through.

Kicking things off on Friday the 27th is veteran of the local music industry, Vanessa Amorosi, along with Montaigne and Bertie. On the women’s final day, January 28th, Kiwi songstress BENEE will take to the stage with support from Winston Surfshirt, CC:DISCO! and Thelma Plum. Backing it up on the final day is none other than local groove lords, Flight Facilities, Listings, Forest Claudette and Willo.

It’s a stacked lineup to say the least, and if you just want to get your music fix in, you can purchase a Finals Fest ticket for just $34 for each session. However, if you’re already there for the tennis and are in the mood for some tunes, you can cop a ticket for just an extra $5.00 on top of your ground pass or Rod Laver Arena stadium ticket.
