Name a more ambitious crossover than The Kid LAROI and a goatee…

If you thought seeing Sydney-born MC and rapper, The Kid LAROI, sell out arenas and become one of the biggest artists in the world was a massive trip, you better brace yourself, as his latest music video will totally spin you out. 

Released alongside his latest single, ‘I GUESS ITS LOVE?’, the new visualiser (directed by Helmi), is made up of various iPhone and BTS footage that follows LAROI and his girlfriend, Katarina Deme, as they navigate everyday life together. And fair warning, if you’re wanting to feel single as hell, you’ve come to the right place, as the clip features the pair turning the cuteness levels all the way up as they embody the stereotypical happy couple spending their adult years together. 

However, the wholesomeness is quickly overshadowed by the hilarious (and slightly disturbing) use of old person prosthetics, with the video delving into the weird and downright absurd (if you’re with children, probably cover their eyes at around 2:35) sides of LAROI’s personality. Still, it’s cool to see the 19-year-old age so quickly throughout the video’s runtime, almost as if we’re getting a glimpse of what awaits in his future (evidently, the answer is a goatee). Thankfully, we also get further information about his upcoming album, with the clip ending with the words, “‘Next: “What Just Happened” & Album Date.'” No word yet on when either are set to drop, but in the meantime, check out the full video for ‘I GUESS IT’S LOVE?’ below.
