Behind The Gallery are once again host a unique experience for music and photography lovers.

The name Scarlet Page might not immediately ring any bells, but take a look at her portfolio and we guarantee you’ll be familiar with some of the work she’s produced. Now, you can get up close and personal with it at her Captures show.

The exhibition, which runs from Thursday, May 4th at 205 Oxford Street, Darlinghurst, NSW, will showcase Scarlet’s three-decade career, including live, behind-the-scenes, album and portrait shots, and never-before-seen photographs. Scarlet’s talent and passion for capturing the raw essence of music legends is evident in her work, having grown up in the industry alongside her father, Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page.

Scarlet’s ‘Captures’ exhibition will have an Australian focus and feature her distinctive documentary style of reportage, which includes unseen hidden gems from some of her subjects over the years. The exhibition will also feature Scarlet’s entire ‘Resonators’ collection, where she travelled all around the world taking portraits of this generation’s game-changing guitarists.

The exhibition will also include evocative photographs of some of the most prominent names in music, including Bowie, Amy Winehouse, Oasis, Courtney Love, Motörhead’s Lemmy Kilmister, Foo Fighters, The White Stripes, The Verve, and The Prodigy. Plus there are some shots of Aussie legends too, including The Vines, Nick Cave and some recently unearthed images captured at very early Silverchair gigs in “scuzzy little venues” all over England.

In addition to Scarlet’s stunning collection, there will be an artist talk on Saturday, where she will discuss her career, share insights into her creative process, and offer a behind-the-scenes look at some of her most iconic photographs. The artist talk is an opportunity to get up close and personal with Scarlet and learn more about the passion and creativity that drives her work.

As Scarlet notes, “Reflecting back on my career to date, I can see that thread continuing all the way through.” Her work has been commissioned by all the major record labels and prestigious music publications in the UK, including MOJO, Q, Uncut, Rolling Stone, Classic Rock, and Kerrang!. Scarlet has also toured the globe with legendary acts such as The Darkness, Placebo, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Rolling Stones, and Stereophonics.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to see a collection of works by one of our generation’s finest music photographers, who over the past 30 years has developed a cult following of fans. Whether you’re a music enthusiast or just appreciate art, Scarlet Page’s ‘Captures’ exhibition is not to be missed.
