The Brisbane Powerhouse also recently launched their experimental festival OHM…

If you’re tired of scouring the internet to organise your gigging for June, the Brisbane Powerhouse has you covered. This June, the cultural hotspot is shaking things up with a series of concerts that are sure to bring some much-needed excitement to your life (and your Instagram feed), and today they’ve unveiled the full Winter program for their upcoming shows.

First up is French disco legend Cerrone, who’s bringing his funkadelic beats to the Powerhouse. With over 30 million records sold worldwide, Cerrone knows a thing or two about getting people on the dancefloor (and keeping them there). So if you’re looking to dust off your disco shoes and throw down, this is the show for you.

Joining him are Melbourne band and queer icons, Cash Savage and The Last Drinks. With their emotional and intense live performances, the Melbourne band are sure to leave you feeling everything from heartbroken to empowered (and maybe a little bit sweaty) with their blend of tough and tender rock. Rounding things out are South African-based artist and spiritual healer Desire Marea, along with Icelandic folk-pop singer Aìsgeir. And let’s be real, who doesn’t love a good Icelandic export? (We’re looking at you, Björk.)

Overall, the Brisbane Powerhouse concerts this June are set to be a boundary-pushing series of shows, and just going off the success of their recent OHM festival, we’re guessing that they’ll be worth the wait. Be sure to head here for ticket information. For now, check out the full Winter program below.
