Rick Ross, the beloved rapper known for living lavish and putting his money to wild, but extremely entertaining uses, has outdone himself with his latest purchase, buying an exorbitant waterfront mansion on Miami’s Star Island for $35 million USD ($55 million AUD).
Inhabited by the likes of Diddy, Ken Griffen, Jennifer Lopez, Gloria Estefan and more, the island is a hub for Hollywood’s rich and famous, with a total of only 30 limited residences on its land. Ross, however, has managed to secure its crown jewel.
Spanning an impressive 12,374 square feet, the house is essentially a bachelor pad on steroids, featuring a total of six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, accompanied by a super ridiculous 100 feet of waterfront along the Biscayne. Inside the two-story estate, you’ll find a glass-enclosed foyer (if you somehow ever find yourself as a guest of Ross’s), a voluminous living room fitted with a custom mahogany fireplace, a media room, library and chef’s kitchen.
Outside, however, is where the extravagance really comes into play, with an outdoor swimming pool, kitchen and stone terrace just perfect for the occasional house party (although, I’m guessing instead of $15 sacks of wine, Ross will probably be shelling out for the premium vintages). And of course, old mate has the option to indulge in his boating desires if he so pleases, with the waterfront tied together by an electric and water-equipped 40-foot private dock.
And we haven’t even gotten to the main suite yet. A sanctuary equipped with remote-controlled shutters, a wet bar, dual walk-in closets and twin marble bathrooms, the enclave is a luxury lover’s dream, and is right up there with the sheer excessiveness of dance producer Zedd’s oversized front door.
Looks like my plan to win the Powerball needs to get just a bit of a move on. Check out some more pics of Ross’s mansion below.
