The beginning of the end?

After spending half a decade away from Australian shores and one of the its most dedicated fanbases, US rock band Queens of the Stone Age, have announced their return Down Under this summer.

Set to kick off on February 10th, 2024, the new tour, titled The End is Nero, will see the band play songs like ‘Paper Machete’ and ‘Emotion Sickness’ out from their latest record, In Times New Roman. A dark, gritty and straight up bonkers LP centred around celebrating the end of life as we know it (and judging by the cooked state of the world in 2023, they’re right on the money), the new project shows the five-piece to be in fine form in 2023, with NME going so far a calling them a band “reaching the peak of their powers.”

It’s a big undertaking, and to top things off, the band have enlisted some of the nation’s best rock and punk outfits on supporting duties, with the likes of Pond, The Chats, Spiderbait, Lola Scott, and more joining in on the fun when it all kicks off on February 10th, 2024, at the Red Hill Auditorium in Perth.

Tickets are expected to fly for this one, so you best act quick! The pre-sale begins at 11am tomorrow for the Hobart show and 12pm this Friday for all other shows. The general sale for all shows will commence at 1pm next Monday. For now, check out the full list of dates for The End Is Nero tour below.
