In a move that seemed almost inevitable, particularly after Cillian Murphy’s recent appearance on the Actors on Actors interview series, Netflix has reportedly greenlit two Peaky Blinders spinoffs. The show, which ran for a solid ten years and became one of the world’s most beloved gangster shows, has cemented itself in pop culture, particularly for its brutal portrayal of England in the early 20th century mixed with comedy and drama.

According to reports, one of the spinoffs is set in Boston in the middle of the 20th century. It seems its set to be totally unconnected to the OG show, which, might actually be a good move. However, if you’re faithful to the original story, the second spinoff is coming in clutch, with the latter of the spinoffs delving into the backstory of Polly, the formidable matriarch of the Shelby family, portrayed by Helen McCrory in the flagship series.

Now, to be clear, Netflix has remained silent on the rumours, however, just going off Cillian Murphy’s (and that of fellow Barbenheimer alum, Margot Robbie) interest in seeing the Blinders universe continue to grow, we’re guessing the streamer has no choice but to revive the beloved show.
