When they’re not in the studio and or touring the world ten times over, it’d be fair to assume that veteran rappers 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne would do anything to get a reprieve from  hip hop. Yet, it seems the two MCs are just as up for engaging in it in their downtime, with their latest joint interview seeing them quiz each other on everything to do with the genre.

Teaming up with Complex, the two MCs reminisce on everything from best diss songs to their favourite verses. However, the standout from the conversation was undoubtedly their deep dive into the greatest hip hop mixtapes of all time, a topic sparked by the recent ‘Mixtape Mount Rushmore’ tweet that’s gone viral online.

Subsequently, the two MCs chop it up as they list everyone from Drama’s Trap or Die,  Future and DJ Esco’s 56 Nights and even Wayne’s own The Dedication as the best mixtapes of all time. It’s an interesting sneak peak into two of the biggest minds in the game right now, with both seemingly way more mellow compared to the antics they pulled off in their younger years (anyone else feeling old right now?).
