Is ‘Greatest Hit’, ironically, Greta Stanley’s greatest hit?

Greta Stanley is turning up the heat with her latest single, ‘Greatest Hit’, ahead of her third album, If I Get In, Where Would I Go?. This track is a fresh burst of pop perfection, showcasing Stanley’s knack for blending catchy melodies with meaningful lyrics.

‘Greatest Hit’ is all about self-love and navigating relationships—both with others and yourself. It’s a vibrant anthem celebrating the journey of prioritising your own happiness and health.

Produced, recorded, and mixed by Cheekbone in his Townsville studio, with final touches by Andrei Eremin (G Flip, Baker Boy), the single is a polished piece of pop brilliance. Stanley credits artists like Petey and Medium Build as key inspirations for the track.

“This song kind of has a double meaning, it’s about knowing that you have a lot to offer someone, and you finally found someone who doesn’t take that for granted, but it’s also a song to myself, about self love, and really working on the relationship you have with yourself. How, when you overcome these challenging things that keep you down, you could really show up for yourself; you could write that song, you could be that person that talks you up instead of down,” She says.

“It’s about the half of you that gets hidden when you get too deep in the dark shit in your brain, and when you work really hard (therapy, breaking habits, whatever!) you get to see this version of yourself you know you could be, and you know is someone you don’t want to keep hidden all the time.”

The upcoming album, If I Get In, Where Would I Go?, explores themes of mental, physical, and emotional health, charting Stanley’s journey through recent challenges and triumphs.

To celebrate the release of her new album, Greta Stanley is set to light up her hometown with a special show in Cairns on Friday, 27 September at Tanks Art Centre – tickets here.
