The victory lap continues.

With more ARIA nominations than you can poke a spiky, shiny, award-shaped stick at, sold-out shows across the world, and millions of streams, Royel Otis have had a couple of years that are incomparable to pretty much any Australian act of the last decade other than maybe Tame Impala or Flume.

With their popularity continuing to rise thanks to their charming indie-pop bops, it only makes sense that a collection of tunes have been rescued from the cutting room floor from their Pratts & Pains sessions and shared with their adoring fans.

Following on from ‘Claw Foot’, ‘Merry Mary Marry Me’ and ‘Til The Morning’, ‘If Our Love Is Dead’ is an uplifting, up-tempo jam that we can imagine is going down a treat on the live stage.

“‘If Our Love Is Dead’ was born out of that feeling when you’ve been with someone for a while and you’re not sure if the spark is still there. You’re like… If it’s dead and it’s not there, then what are we holding on to? What are we doing it for? Are we doing it for the sake of just sticking it out, or do we actually just want to cut paths and move on with things?”

It comes with the news that the band will make their US TV debut later in the month with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show. They’ll return home in December for a run of festival shows too. Check out the dates below and head here to buy Pratts & Pain Deluxe vinyl here.
