Velvet Trip reveal new direction with first single since their debut LP Harmony Blooms.

It’s been a huge couple of years for Sydney duo Zeppelin Hamilton and Clayton Allen, AKA Velvet Trip. Tour supports with Parcels, sold-out shows around the country, hundreds of thousands of streams, and a delightful debut album have all come in a whirlwind of floral art, psych grooves, and shiny flares.

Their new track, ‘It Don’t Matter,’ kinda sums up the self-belief these guys have in their musical explorations. With the washed-out, dreamy guitar work we heard throughout Harmony Blooms, a funky bassline, and a groove that will have you nodding your head in your seat, the tune is a masterful bit of immersive pop, with Hamilton’s lyrics fittingly uplifting with tinges of darkness.

“This song is about making a conscious decision to stop caring how people perceive you and to start believing in yourself,” explains Zeppelin. “As humans, we often get hung up on what other people think, and we minimise ourselves just to fit in. When people listen to this song, I want them to feel free, wave their freak flag, and dance like no one is watching.”

We’re imagining this one will be going the fuck off when the band who’re extremely fun live perform at Bluesfest and Party In The Paddock in 2025. Go follow them on Insta here to make sure you’re in the loop. Oh, and peep their Spotify billboard below:
