It’s a pretty basic concept. Combine golf, surfing, and cold beers, invite an elite surfing crew who are all golf fanatics and let their in-built competitive spirit do the rest. Sounds great, right? The only we still have after attending Julian Wilson and Rivvia Projects’ inaugural Pits and Divots event is why doesn’t this happen more often?!
The day kicked off with a four-man Ambrose golf tournament at Charlestown Golf Club, where teams swung their way through 18 holes. Then it was off to Redhead Beach for a high-energy tag-team surf competition, with scores from both sports combining to crown the ultimate champions.
The event wrapped up at The Royal Crown Hotel, where an awards presentation saw winners hoisting the Pits & Divots Claret Jug and walking away with premium prizes like JS Surfboards and Scotty Cameron putters – congrats to the Sanbah team!
