Now they’re tying a bow on the Premium Old Skool Music Collection in the most colourful way yet, tapping Detroit rap-electronica outfit HiTech to front the latest campaign.
First introduced in 1977 as the Style 36, the Old Skool was the first Vans skate shoe to feature the iconic Sidestripe, and found its way into various music scenes from punk and hardcore through to rap and EDM. This drop sees the legendary Old Skool silhouette reimagined in four additional new colourways – Gum Sepia, Gum Marmalade, Gum Crystal Blue, and Gum Raspberry Rose – reflecting the vibrance of the musicians that inspired and wore them.
Key upgrades include durable suede and canvas uppers, glossy sidewalls, higher foxing tape, and archival branding that nods to classic ‘90s Vans. Inside, the removable Sola Foam ADC insoles bring all-day comfort, while a regenerative rubber outsole and biobased footbed push things forward sustainably.
