We hope you are, because this week’s AOTW is an absolute sizzler. Coming in from rising Sydney producer and the guy behind the new party machine RUSH, which debuted last week, Ryan Maloney AKA Maloney’s Sungazing EP is set to treat your ears and keep your booty moving until the sun rises.
Over the course of the three tracks on the EP, Maloney takes us on a journey that reflects a big night out. There’s the intense come-up in the form of the opener ‘Reflection’, followed by the deeper grooves of ‘Piano of Happiness’ (the breakdown in this will blow your mind), before the closer ‘Luv Me’, which is hard-hitting and sleek – the kind of track that re-energises a dance floor as soon as it pops.
“Sun Gazing is a soundtrack for the summer soul sun-kissed-bliss, made for endless beach days, long sweaty nights and dancing until sunrise,” Maloney says of the EP. “This year arriving right in time for solstice and the official start of summer. an album that captures the golden hour glow, the long shadows of late July, and the quiet heat of a moment you don’t want to end. Inspired by the raw emotional clarity that summer brings, the album blends warmth and wonder, light and longing, in a collection of songs that feel both timeless and right on time.”
We have a feeling this is only the beginning for the Sydney producer, and with party season in full swing, we’d be shocked if we don’t hear A LOT more from Maloney in the coming weeks and months. Follow him on socials here.
