It’s no secret that HYROX is having a moment right now. You only need to look at the fact that 28,000 fitness fanatics (yes, you do have to be a little crazy to compete in this) have signed up to be a part their Sydney competition to realise that this is the most buzzed hybrid sports innovation of recent memory. From July 1st-5th, the ‘breathing room’ will transform Cathy Freeman Park into a free recovery and performance hub for HYROX competitors and spectators alike. Alongside immersive breathwork experiences and a flexible performance studio, visitors can jump into guided REVL workouts, hear from some of Australia’s leading hybrid athletes and learn practical techniques to improve race-day performance and recovery.
The activation is free to enter with no booking required, although spots for the scheduled sessions are limited. Highlights include a REVL Team Sweat workout on Wednesday (10am), Bailey O’Brien’s ‘Your Best Race Yet’ talk on Friday (1pm), multiple breathwork sessions with Ryan Mannix across the weekend, a community shakeout run and panel discussion on Saturday (12pm), and a race recap with Bailey O’Brien and Ben Seymour on Sunday morning (9am).
