The wait is over.

In the past few months, FORMER have been drip-feeding their ‘Defective Units’ vids, dropped a collab with RAGE, and also welcomed Elijah Berle to the team. It’s been a steady stream of surf and skate content for us to munch on, but now it’s time for the main course – their first “proper” team film, ‘DEFECT’.

Led by founders Dane Reynolds and Craig Anderson, the film features the full FORMER surf roster, including: Ben Howard, Shaun Manners, Jake Kelley, Jay Davies, Kaito Ohashi, Gabe Morvil, Dion Agius, Dillon Perillo, James Kustino, Timo Simmers, Matt Hoy, and Kai McKenzie.

“Hopefully this film just inspires kids to ride waves, and make things, and see things a little differently,” Dane says. “I dunno, hopefully it’s just inspirational to surfing, and surf culture and the next generation of surfers from wherever they’re from. And obviously I hope it displays some good surfing, and shows all the interesting personalities and cool people that we support at FORMER… in the most authentic FORMER way.”
