Atiba sits at the centre of the skateboarding, culture and photography Venn diagram.

You should have realised when the last United Through Skateboarding campaign dropped, and Atiba enlisted his mates, including the Workaholics crew, Tim Robinson, Zion Wright, Lizzie Armanto and Sam Richardson, that he’s one of skateboarding’s most loved figures. Now he’s back with a brand new Vans collab, featuring a few more people you may have heard of in the campaign…

For round two, the legendary photographer has called on Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, LA artist Lauren Halsey and Vans team rider Rowan Zorilla to help bring the collection to life. Art-directed by Atiba himself, the campaign is another reminder of just how far his influence stretches beyond skateboarding, having spent decades documenting everyone from the world’s best skaters to musicians, artists and athletes.

The collection itself is packed with nods to Atiba’s life behind the lens, including archival skate photography, custom artwork by Halsey and plenty of references to his hometown of Los Angeles. Among the highlights is the blue Skate Rowan Z3, which pays tribute to his and Rowan’s shared love of the LA Dodgers, alongside a Skate SK8-Hi featuring one of his iconic Geoff Rowley photographs.
