Which is how it went down when alt-rock legends Skunkhour hit the stage for Surf & Sound Festival at Felons Barrel Room.\
The group, fresh off the back of a sold-out show at Manning Bar, brought their Back to Basics tour to Manly, giving the crowd a healthy dose of the funk, rock, rap and soul that’s made them one of Australia’s most beloved cult acts.
With original members Aya and Del Larkin, Dean Sutherland and Warwick Scott in fine form, it was a reminder that more than three decades after they first burst onto the scene, Skunkhour still know how to put on one hell of a show.
