Perth producer, photographer, barber, sneaker-fancier, social media wizard and impeccable dresser Ta-Ku is curating the latest of Red Bull Music Academy’s Chronicles series in June. Performing and premiering his latest EP, the highly-anticipated ‘Songs to Make Up To‘ live on Boiler Room alongside a line-up he’s personally curated.

Set to feature Brisbane-based soul singer and multi-instrumentalist Jordan Rakei, Ta-Ku’s own side project HWLS with his long-term collaborator, producer Kit Pop, the lovely sounds of Netherlands-raised Wafia, and visuals by award-winning artist Sam Price.

Chronicles 002 follows on from the first collaboration between RBMA, Boiler Room and an Australian talent. A few months ago, Melbourne’s neo-soul and groundbreaking group Hiatus Kaiyote teamed up with Los Angeles’ Taylor McFerrin, and the series is showing no signs of stopping to shine a light on talented artists from across the globe.

Pre-order “Songs to Make Up To” here. Guest list for the event will be strictly invite only, but the rest of us can watch the entire thing unfold live on Boiler Room on June 12th from 10pm. Watch the trailer and check out some of Ta-Ku’s empire below:
