Cool story alert: Back before I listened to Nicki Minaj religiously, I was into hardcore. The first hardcore show I ever went to was back in 2004, with an all-star bill featuring Last Nerve, Irrelevant, I Killed The Prom Queen & a Byron Bay band by the name of Parkway Drive.

Up until then, I hadn’t witnessed anything this heavy at a live gig – and I was pretty confused when Parkway played ‘Smoke Em If Ya Got Em’ and all these guys in hoodies and white belts begun pulling ninja moves in the pit.

Soon after that show, Parkway blew up and became one of the most popular hardcore/metalcore/whatevercore bands to ever come from Australia, which is pretty cool for a few dudes from a coastal town who just like to bodyboard.

Anyway, fast forward to 2015 and these guys are still destroying dancefloors across the world – but they might have just reached a new level of legendary with this cover of Rage Against The Machine’s ‘Bulls On Parade’ at a German festival.

Winston McCall isn’t wrong when he describes this as “one of the fucking best riffs of all time” – and the band add a little more grit to the classic anthem penned by Zack De La Rocha. Watch below and start a circle pit in your bedroom:
