It looks like you won’t have to go all the way to Moe’s for a Duff – a real-life version of the Springfield brew is now being developed by The Simpsons.

Series owners 21st Century Fox are fed up with the amount of counterfeit Duffs being bootlegged across the world, so they’ve decided to brew and bottle the real deal. “Once you see enough piracy, you are faced with two choices. One is deciding to fight it, and the other is deciding to go out [into the market] with it,” said 21st Century Fox’s Jeffrey Godsick.

We can’t wait to share some of these brews with the IRL equivalents of Homer, Barney, Lenny, Carl & Brian McGee. However, the Duffs are only going to be available in Chile for the time being, with possible expansion into Europe. One version of Duff popped up at Woolworths in Australia last year, only to be pulled after critics claimed it would encourage underage drinking.

Since this is only available in South America, we’ll have to get the Beer Baron to smuggle us over a few cases. Yes, that’s right ladies & gentlemen: It’s nearly Drinking Time.
