A Southern staple who’s collaborated with everybody from Trill OG Bun B to grill master Paul Wall, Chamillionaire has been delivering bass-heavy bangers for close to two decades – but is best known for his 2005, Grammy Award winning single ‘Ridin’ alongside Krayzie Bone. Perhaps that’s why the track’s infectious hook was quoted by the unlikeliest of people in J.K. Rowling. An online dispute resulted in Rowling being accused of using “her obscene wealth & lawyer droids to threaten & bully” others by writer Kevin Williamson.
Rowling had a quick and succinct message for Williamson:
They see me Rowlin'
They hatin' https://t.co/dfiqou7vpD— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 17, 2016
And because this is 2016 and the Internet is a wonderful place, Chamillionaire himself saw the Tweet and responded, praising Rowling’s retort and subsequently reinstoring our faith in humanity:
@jk_rowling I was gonna remix your tweet to "We see them trollin" but you already took home the Grammy. Touche'

Yes, this is wonderful. Now let’s all bask in the glory of ‘Ridin’ and its ability to bring people from all corners of the globe together. Let’s hope that this is the start of a flourishing relationship that sees Chamillionaire make a cameo appeareance in the upcoming Harry Potter book. Don’t pretend like it wouldn’t be the best thing to happen in literature in at least 87 years:
