In the latest bout of wreckless behaviour that’s so Australian that it hurts, a man in the Gold Coast has been filmed taking his pet snake for a swim, all while carefully nursing a VB longneck in one hand.

Throwing the snake lovingly throughout the Tallebudgera Creek on the Gold Coast, the man also carries his longie with the care that a parent shows their young child, keeping it above water and steady throughout the whole ordeal. In the end, the snake and owner share a heartwarming kiss.

The video was filmed by Brisvegas musician Indiana Bones, who said “My Dad keeps snakes and I’ve never seen anyone at the beach with one, dancing around, kissing one… I was impressed. I was flat out impressed. We thought we were rock n roll, spending the day on the beach, but this guy was drinking a beer, with his snake out in public.”

The footage has since circulated everywhere from Channel 7 to Brown Cardigan. Here it is below. God bless the Gold Coast, and God bless Victoria Bitter.
